Awareness Gardens

America the Beautiful Fund provided 2000 packets of pink flower seeds to women and children in Miami, Seattle, San Diego, Dallas, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Portland, Los Angeles, Birmingham, Boston, Houston, San Francisco, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Chicago, Minneapolis and Detroit to plant pink ribbon, breast cancer ‘Awareness Gardens’ through the sponsorship of Wacoal, Inc. These gardens, each planted in the shape of a pink ribbon, are to remind women of the importance of an annual mammogram, raising awareness to help combat the 211,000 new cases of breast cancer in 2003.
